Letter from the Chief

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Kinmundy-Alma Fire Protection District website.  Our department consists of 34 firefighters and 10 Emergency Medical Technicians who are all volunteers who provide emergency services for fire suppression, emergency care and transport, and rescue.  We cover a district that protects approximately 4,750 people within 138 square miles.  We also provide mutual aid to surrounding fire departments.

I’m proud to be a member of this team who volunteers because they care about helping people.  Our charge is to provide the highest skilled response to our residents and visitors when they need our help.  We have been fortunate to secure grant funding for quality equipment – for vehicles as well as fire protection apparatus to keep our firefighters safe when fighting fires and during rescue operations.  These men and women also attend numerous training classes and drills throughout the year for both fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services for our community and visitors.

On behalf of our trustees, officers, and volunteers, I would like to thank you for the privilege of serving you.  Please take a look at our website and learn about our history, view our equipment, and see what we’re doing.

Sincerely,

Kevin Day

Fire Chief
